Troop 10 Annual Flag Placement
As Memorial Day 2003 approaches the Troop 10 annual flag placement day is here as well. This activity started back in 2000 as part of my Eagle Project. It involves the placement of over 350 American flags on the graves of veterans. We do this to recognize the sacrifice these heroes made in serving this country. With the current situation in our world it becomes increasingly important that we recognize the dangers that each soldier faces. They gave their lives to keep peace in the world and protect our great country from terrorist acts. As a West Point cadet this strikes me because in four years I might have to face the same situation that our troops today are facing. During the placement of the flags we require that each participating Scout wear his full Class A uniform to pay the proper respect that these heroes deserve. This is also a great opportunity to gain service hours for rank advancement. We will be doing the placement on Saturday May 24th at 9 AM. Please consider participating in this honorable activity, show your praise for those who gave their lives serving this country. A sign-up sheet will be available shortly. If you have any questions feel free to call me at 624-9467.Back to top

Massawepie Outpost Camping
It’s almost summer and that means Massawepie and outpost camping. Last year we had nine people hike out to a camp on the other side of the lake and stay overnight. We had a lot of fun preparing food and eating wild blueberries. This year we would like to plan ahead and prepare before we leave for Massawepie. Any scouts or leaders interested in participating in the outpost camping, please contact Chris Bower. 624-7222
