THE HISTORY OF TROOP 10

Welcome to the home of Boy Scout Troop 10 on the web!  We are one of the 50 oldest troops in the nation, having been active for over 100 continuous years in the small village of Honeoye Falls, a short drive south of Rochester, New York.  For more than a century, we have been helping the community through public service with activities including: helping at food pantries, establishing nature trails, cleaning up the local parks, posting US flags at veterans’ gravestones, and raking leaves at local churches. Troop 10 is chartered by the Rotary Club of Honeoye Falls-Mendon, and has been fortunate to be able to maintain our own Scout house in the village of Honeoye Falls where we conduct most of our meetings.  We help provide an opportunity for fun and exciting experiences in the outdoors, while being personally challenged and building new friendships. Our program works toward three aims: - To build character - To foster citizenship - To develop physical, mental, and emotional fitness.  Our local program has a large focus on emphasizing the independance and skills needed to succeed in outdoor activities

We hope to continue to help our community for the next 100 years, and we hope that those of you reading this will continue to support us.
